Bio
Glen Janken, CFP®, CLU - has operated his own estate and financial planning practice since 1985. Prior to that he practiced accounting, serving as controller for a large architecture and engineering firm. He graduated from the University of California at Berkeley in 1974, Phi Beta Kappa with a degree in Economics. He received his Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation from the American College in October 1990. He became a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) licensee in January 2000. Glen teaches courses on Advanced and Basic Estate Planning at UCLA Extension, where he has also been a member of the Attorney Assistant Advisory Council. He has served on the Development Sub-Committee and on the Investment Sub-Committee at Marlborough School, and is a past Co-Chair of the Marlborough Parents’ Annual Fund Campaign. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Vidisch Realty Corporation, a privately held real estate company, and has been a member of the Board of Directors of JANCO Corporation, an electronics manufacturer and ESOP Company located in southern California. Glen is a Registered Representative and Investment Advisor Representative with NFP Securities, Inc.
He and his wife are both second-generation native Angelenos.
